It's a pretty good book, and it helped me change my workout into something that was much more effective so that I started to see results. I didn't see any of the dramatic changes that some of the participants in his Body for Life challenge demonstrated, but then again, I also didn't really take his supplements that they did so that probably played a role. His "authorized foods" are good for you, but you shouldn't restrict yourself to just those. I think you would leave yourself open to nutritional deficiencies (ie calcium deficiency) if you stuck to his diet alone so you should find out other foods that are good for you outside of his diet. I would recommend reading another book such as "You on a diet" by Dr. Oz to learn more than what Phillips says because he has great experience that you can learn from, but he is not an expert. I'm not saying Dr. Oz is an expert, but I am a bit biased and like to know what science and research have to say as well.
