Hank Zipzer has had the worst year possible with Ms. Adolf as his teacher. As the end of the year approaches, he is informed that he will not pass fourth grade unless he goes to summer school. What choice does he have? He doesn't want to have Ms. Adolf for his teacher again! While his best friends, Frankie and Ashley, are discovering Hawaii and exploring new things, Hank is stuck only watching them have fun. There are highlights though. He meets a new little friend who admires him and has Mr. Rock for his summer school teacher. He even meets the challenge to be able to attend the end of the summer sleep over with his friends. Funny and heart-warming. A must read for any age.
