"I wish you could understand how may books i've read and how much i .. i don't want to say loved but i did ... this book. it's amazing.. if i were to buy any book for any amount of money it'd be this one. now i've read and devoured all the twilight books, most sarah dessen books and a TON of others including love stories and socially based novels. i've never been so compelled to lose sleep over a work of literature before in my life until i picked up this book yesterday afternoon. PLEASE read it. that's all i can say through a stupid little review.
I don't want to explain the story line, but i will. A boy named Clay's life is changed. Forever. I'm talking he will never be the same person again. He receives a set of tapes from a girl who committed suicide and as he listens and begins to see the reasons (13 of them) why, his entire life spirals downward. The interesting and extremely clever point of view in the book (one from clay, the other from the voice on the tapes) makes this book completely and absolutely captivating, suspenseful, and absorbing.

"Everyone knows Hannah Baker killed herself but no one knows why. When Clay receives a mysterious package of 13 audiotapes (each one addressed to a person Hannah blames for her demise), he begins a long, emotional and dangerous journey of trying to figure out why his former friend gave up on life and what he had to do with it. This story is absolutely captivating, a top pick at a recent "What's New in Young Adult Literature" and has been very popular at the middle school and high school level. While some parts of the story contain mature content, it is nothing kids don't see watching 5 minutes of television and the story is so engaging, so relatable (as far as the pressures, challenges and pitfalls today's kids face) and so well-written that I would deem it a valuable read for 8th grade and up. Just the same, I caution parents to preview this book before allowing their kids to read it. That way they can decide."
"This is for my 5th book report! This book was a very good book and I really liked it! It's about a guy named Clay Jenson and he gets ao box of cassette tapes from a dead girl, who he ironically had a crush one. Everyone who gets a box was somehow reasponsible for her death. It has a twist in it that makes this book even better. I will recomend this book to any guy or girl. If you like secrets and "putting pieces of a stroy together," than this book is for you. I really like the ending and how the author coped that in with the rest of the story.This is not a hard book to read but that doesn't make it a bad book."
