"I learned music since childhood, but in a different language. I think this book is a good one for introduction or beginners, who would like to compose or range music."
"This is an excellent book for both the beginning musician and the experienced, but stale musician. It covers everything that a choral director uses as buzz words to either confuse the new members or pander to the name "musician wanna-bes." It does so in a reading level which is what you need to read the newspaper. I have recommended it to a chorus master studying for his MFA in orchestral conducting and to a good friend who took up the cello at the age of sixty-five and refuses to play for anyone but herself. Those who sing or play for pleasure should have this book, and accompanying CD, in their personal library."
