1- He says repeatedly that salt is good for you, and potassium is to be avoided. He seems to think that sodium deficiency is an ever-present danger. But salt is toxic. Charlotte Gerson said that salt promotes cancer. Dr. Albert Schweitzer said the same. Dr. Max Gerson put all his patients on salt-free diets and gave them potassium supplements; he said that sodium deficiency was very rare on this regimen. Charlotte Gerson stated, "This K medication is primary to the treatment of tissue damage syndrome (the penetration of Na into tissues), found in all cancers and in most other degenerative diseases." Sodium is so widely available in foods that it is hard to be deficient in it. Furthermore, salt is inert and not bio-available, so how could it possibly be good for you? Salt is just rocks, not living organisms.
2- He says to "be very careful of fruit consumption," presumably because of its sugar content. But most fruits have acceptable glycemic indexes, even according to Wilson's own charts. Fresh fruits are not problematic for hypoglycemics. Our digestive systems are those of anthropoid apes, designed to thrive on fruits and fruit sugars.
If there is such a syndrome as adrenal fatigue, how could it be be so pronounced as to reverse our natural dietary needs? How can carcinogens be good for you?"
