"Although I didn't do any of the journaling or other exercises, I did find the book intriguing. I liked the first part that spoke to the history of da Vinci. I didn't know much about his early life and I was surprised by some of his inventions. I loved that he had unfinished work at the end of his life. The sign of a true genius at work! The seven principles truly were da Vincian and inspiring."
"this is a solid book. a lot of fanatical history of da vinci...which can be annoying.... its about 200 pages too long! There are gems in here that basically mimic all the other personal development books, so don't really look for anything too insightful.
Many of the exercises help you think outside the box which is neat!
The chapter names(principles) are difficult to pronounce which can be obnoxious!
If you get this book; skim around... it is not worth reading cover to cover.
The good thing about this book, is that many of the exercises within are spread out amongst many books, but you can find them all here in one place."

"I'll say one thing. The author is a big nerd! But I guess I'm a big nerd, too, for reading this book. It was actually pretty interesting. It was designed to be kind of a guide with several exercises to practice to help you with different ways of thinking. The exercises seemed pretty neat, but I just had the book checked out from the library, so I didn't have time (ooorrrrr motivation) to do them. I can't say I'd be a Da Vinci after completing all of the exercises. But, they did give me something to think about. Maybe, if I ever get bored and have tons of time on my hands, I'll buy this book and do the exercises ;)"
