"Junie B. isn't for everyone, but she has definitely wiggled her way into my heart because she reminds me so much of my daughter - inquisitive, curious, bright, outspoken and yet vulnerable all at the same time! I love that in this one she gets to be captain field day and that her teacher humors her by letting her wear a "cape." I especially fell in love with this one at the end when "Crybaby William" saves the day and finally wins an event for Room 9. William shows us that everyone has value and has something important to bring to a group. Excuse me while I wipe away a tear - got a little sappy there. Seriously though - cute series for young readers!"
"Go, team! Afternoon kindergarten is having a field day, and Junie B. is team captain! only, here's the problem. Room Eight keeps on winning too many events. And so how will Room Nine ever become the kindergarten champions? As Captain Field Day, will Junie B. find a way to lead hr team to victory? Or will it be up to someone else to save the day?"
