"An interesting and not very deep look at the development of the linux kernel and GNU/Linux operating system. Great intro to the man who created a free and viable alternative to the would-be monopolies of Microsoft and Apple."
"I'm not a big biography reader, but a very thoughtful Secret Santa gave this to me one year at work, and I really appreciated it. It's a short, fun, read and gives you a good insight into one of the unseen forces behind many of the best things about our lives today."
"The somewhat-interesting autobiography of Linus Torvalds (creator/proprietor of the Linux kernel/Git/etc.) This is a dull read even for an bio. The co-author's attempts to liven-up Linus' life annoyed me, and I abhorred the odd mix of tech and life lessons. The co-author should have let Linus stick to what he knows - technology!
I did however enjoy the underlying story of Linux's rise and Torvald's unique philosophy of 'free software'. Though the book drags... Linus has an understated humor that works well, and an keen understanding of the Open Source ecosystem. I find myself enjoying the book more - now that I'm done reading it."
