Jan's sheer strength of spirit and survival instinct, not to mention his ability to withstand extreme cold temperatures is beyond comprehension. And the lengths to which people went to save his life, despite the danger to themselves and their families was truly heartwarming. I never knew about the extent of the Nazi occupation in Germany, so this was a good history lesson for me as well. Amazing!
