"This is a great book for your library if you work with any performance group, or enjoy costuming of any kind. Literally hundreds of ideas for costuming, specifics for particular shows. The layout of the book makes it very easy to use. One hundred POPULAR shows are listed (Les Mis, Phantom, The Wiz, Carousel, Gypsy, Show Boat, Annie, A Chorus Line are just a few) in eight genres, from Medieval/Shakespearean to the very recent. Ideas flow easily between shows, helping to give ideas for reusing costumes, with a little imagination to transform them yet again.
This book has been very helpful to me, as working with high school choirs, the budgets are always very low, and the needs are numerous. I have coordinated costuming for some very beautiful shows using these ideas, and have 2 copies of this book. One I carry, one is at my workspace, but neither is EVER loaned for more than a few moments. This is, without a doubt, a very worthwhile investment. Lots of info packed into a small book. Ideas are simple and easy, and look fabulous."
