It is definitely a book for fluent readers. There are multiple lines of text on each page. The words are multi-syllable and not high frequency words. The text jumps around on the page."

What I really liked is it does not talk about sex When I was searching for a book to help my girls I found so many did in great detail talk about sex not what I want my 10 and 11 year old to hear about. This is an American girl book they are suppose to have one out for boys to so I will have to check in to that one in another year or so."

"I got this for my daughter a while ago and I think it does an excellent job introducing lots of subjects about the body and how to care for it. It discusses more intimate subjects like developing breasts, pubic hair, periods, and even gives step-by-step instructions for how to put in a tampon and advice on shaving your armpits. However, most of the book deals with easier subjects, such as taking care of your hair, being active, eating right, and more. It does not discuss sexuality at all. I HIGHLY recommend all mothers of pre-adolescent girls buy this for their daughter"
