"I used this text for Master's degree level Educational Research and Statistics class. Research is a pretty dry subject, but this book makes some attempts to liven things up. It has some cute little cartoons and a research gremlin. The gremlin points out the flaws in research findings and elaborates on points in the text. It would have been a much more helpful textbook, if it explained how to use Excel to do the statistics. Instead it explained how to use SPSS Data Editor. How many students have access to such a program? All in all this book has been sufficient for my needs in this course."
