First Stephanie Plum book for me. Comedy in it's written form. I found something on almost every page to laugh at. Such a funny, light, fun and quick (only 164 pages) read (rated R for the sex talk and language). I can definitely see why these (Stephanie Plum "Numbers" and "Between-the-Numbers" series) are so popular, if they are even half as fun and lighthearted as this one. I am going to have to find out soon."
"I am still not crazy about the between the numbers books as they tend toward a bit of the unbelievable, but this one flowed much better than Visions of Sugar Plums. In this story, Stephanie is approached by Diesel (who she met in Visions) and told that he has the FTA she is looking for but will only hand her over if she helps him with his own apprehension and some matchmaking duties that Annie Hart (the FTA) needs to have done for her business. Stephanie is handed a pile of folders of people who need to have good Valentine's Days: a butcher with a crush on the coffee girl, a vet who want someone completely unsuitable for him, a woman who doesn't think she wants a man, and a 35-year-old virgin. Also on the list is Stephanie's sister's boyfriend who wants to be married but freaks out at the thought of a wedding. While Stephanie is trying to figure out what to do with this cast of characters, Diesel is trying to catch another person like him who's power is giving people rashes and hives. This book was a lot more fun than the first between the numbers novel but still not as funny as the typical numbered novel in this series."
