"Yet another amazing group to emerge from Mali. When a friend turned me on to Sou Ni Tile a few years back it immediately became a cherished favorite. They ROCK WAY OUT, sing loving songs to each other (usually written by Mariam -- C'est la Vie), lament about being the downtrodden, or stand up tall for the Dogons (talk about a kick-butt song!) Thanks to an assorted Int'l crew of musicians and producers one can easily to listen to the same song twice and discover yet another texture weaving around Amadou's big, rich guitar. (They also put on a fab live show.) Immediate purchase is highly recommended...! Definitely on my desert-island-shuffle."
