A slick divorce attorney with a reputation for ruthlessness, Fife was also rumoured to be a slippery ladies' man. Plenty of people in the picturesque Southern California town of Santa Teresa had reason to want him dead. Including, thought the cops, his young and beautiful wife, Nikki. With motive, access and opportunity, Nikki was their number one suspect. The Jury thought so too. Eight years later and out on parole, Nikki Fife hires Kinsey Millhone to find out who really killed her husband. But the trail has gone cold and there is a chilling twist even Kinsey didn't expect . . . `Skilful and ingenious' Irish Times `I love Sue Grafton's Kinsey Millhone novels . . . you are never disappointed' Guardian `Will keep you awake until the last page has been turned' Daily Mail

100% Satisfied
I had it as a three in one and wanted a copy that was just one story in the book, those 3 in 1 get heavy after a while. I am happy with my purchase. It's a great book.

Grafton is always great.
I accidentally ordered this book when I already had a copy at home. I reread it anyway. I have read many of Sue Grafton's books (more than once) and all are excellent. A is for Alibi is the first in the series of Kinsey Millhone mysteries. Well worth reading - and reading again!

Grafton is Great
Since I love mysteries and read so many, I read the first of Sue Grafton's series, A is for Alibi. She comes across as a fantastic author with a sense of humor and relates much to the public. She is actually so every day, you seem to get into her story immediately. She is an author of description, which I mean, she lays it all out and describes her almost every move, daily habits, (which one can relate to at times). Her descriptions of her characters are very vivid and realistic. She has a gift for giving the reader a good view of the present situation and always has some type of humor connected with some of the situations she encounters. This is her first book and I am going to read all of them. When you read the first page, it catches your interest so you will not want to put it down.Everone who likes mystery, crime should give this author a try. I am going to continue with the rest of the series and I am sure I will not be disappointed.
