Fine. Reprint "strictly limited to 100 copies". 5 vols in 3, cloth, 8vo, viii pp, 1104 columns + -2280 columns + -3030 columns, 309 pp (index). Approximately 20, 000 entries. A compact reprint of what Nunn describes (in 'Asia: A Selected and Annotated Guide to Reference Works') as: "The great bibliographical work for mainland Southeast asia, covering books and periodical articles in Western languages, with an emphasis on French materials published to 1913...The first volume covers Laos, Siam, Assam and Burma, ; the second, Malaya; the third; French Indochina and Cambodia. There is a detailed table of contents. Four volumes were published from 1912 to 1915, and the author and subject index was published in 1932. Primary arrangement by country, then by subject divisions, including languages, customs, history, geography, government, religion, literature, etc. Some annotations. "
VG-, NO djs as issued (see notes) 3000+ pp. NO INTERNATIONAL. Victim of the publisher's fire: Some smoke staining to bottom and fore edges, damp-rippling top pp vol. 2 NB: Set looks nice 'on the shelf', but does have a fair amount of smoke staining to bottom edge (much less so to foreedge), and the rippling in one volume. Would think it suitable for most needs.
