Very Good with no dust jacket. A clean, tight copy of the first edition, withdrawn from a library. It is bound in library buckram, which is sound and sturdy. Library markings are very few, the book is pristine, and the quality of the plates is sure to be higher than a facsimile printing, as there is always a fall-off in reproduction.; Ex-library.

Contains an Index of Military Books by Mathematicians and of Mathematical Works with Sections on Military Science. DJ is lightly soiled and chipped at upper spine. Red cloth exterior-rear-has some spotted areas (signs of past silverfish activity). Title page is signed by Spaulding. Interior is unmarked, tight and clean.
