This Book is for Anyone
I have always been leery of self-help books when it comes to relationships because so many try to package their mother's advice as if it were fresh and intellectually stimulating. This book does not. It takes the complicated thought processes and analyses of real psychological patients and breaks them down into the building blocks of how-we-work that are easy to understand. A good read for the budding (though perhaps not the blooming) psychologist, the frustrated in love, and anyone who can acknowledge that there is a lot we don't know about how to get along with other people. A very easy, informative, and thought-provoking read.

Very Helpful
The text is an in-depth exploration of the essence of being a couple. It examined the reasons two people hook up, what their expectations would be and why those expectations are largely unmet in many relationships.
There are useful examples and hints throughout the text. Also helpful exercises at the end. The challenge is to get your partner to participate with you. Even if this does not happen, the author assures that when one of the partners does the exercises and changes, the entire relationship is affected positively. So... go for it.
My reason for giving it four stars instead of five is that there is so much detail that it is tempting for the attention to wander sometimes. Nevertheless, it is a good read/listen overall.
