They adopt him and raise him as their own child, named Clark. Soon it becomes clear that Clark is not an ordinary child. He possesses powers and abilities far beyond those of ordinary mortals. He vows to use these powers for good and, after graduating, he moves to Metropolis to start a newspaper career, where he soon finds himself working with attractive reporter Lois Lane.
