A book to be savored!
Wish You Were Here by Stewart O'Nan is a big, long, slow read--not one that you are are anxiously turning pages to see what happens next, but rather one to enjoy as you let the characters sink in as you come to know them.
The novel tells the story of the summer after Henry Maxwell's death. Three generations of his family come to spend one last week in their cabin in Upper New York before it is sold. During this time memories and wounds are remembered and revealed. Wonderful characterizations!
