The silhouettes, being on the child's plane of interest, are very suggestive forms for modelling, for free cutting, and for mass drawing. The Games are full of the play element called forth naturally in the lessons. The whole book is based on the joys, enthusiasms, activities, and discoveries of the little child, and the teacher can develop inspiration and appreciation through her own living personality.
