Almost Invisible is a fantasy adventure. Soon after their arrival, some unexplained things happen which Sam attributes to mysterious creatures he calls Pixquiks. Evidence of the existence of the creatures mounts, which even makes the doubting paleontologist a believer, and soon the creatures reveal themselves and their secret world. The humans find the creatures to be both intriguing and helpful. But everything gets turned upside-down when the Pixquiks receive a distressing message from their far away home on the island of Invisible in the distant Arctic. In response, an adventure is launched that involves smuggling the Pixquiks across international borders, flying in private jets and on a contraption no one has ever seen before, scaling precipitous cliffs, stealing boats, dodging bullets, and fighting pirates to save Invisible, its secret, and its inhabitants; and to spare the world of the sorrowful fate that could befall humanity if the secret of the Pixquiks finds its way into the wrong hands-which seems quite possible.
