This was the first of The three Donovan family stories about precious gems. Each one is an amazing read.

Amber Beach
This book is one of my favorites--I have had it in paperback for several years and feel blessed to have been able to find a hardcover copy--Have read it several times, and enjoy it each time. Elizabeth Lowell's people are ones that I would enjoy calling friends if they were 'real'!
