In comparison to the large body of magnificent texts written about and filled with Bonnard's exquisite paintings, this small edition studded with black-and-white reproductions fails to provide any new insights or information. The author, in describing the colors of the original paintings, is unable to convey the subtleties that Bonnard provided in his works owing to the lack of full color reproductions and a necessary larger format.
