An attractive copy of this work of British topography, rebound in a half morocco binding with cloth covered boards. Written by A. R. Hope Moncrieff, this work celebrates the landscape of Scotland. With the previous owners bookplate to the front pastedown that reads 'Ex Libris Henry Frederick Curry 'Courtlands' 3 Grovely Avenue Boscombe Hants'. Featuring illustrations by the noted artist of the 20th century Sutton Palmer, who specialised in landscape painting in the medium of watercolour. Collated complete with 75 plates. Rebound. In a half morocco binding, with cloth covered boards. Externally smart, with patches of very light rubbing to the spine. Previous owners bookplate to the front pastedown, and light offsetting to the extremities of the front and rear endpapers. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with the odd spot. Very Good Indeed.

Signed by Hope Moncrieff, the author of the accompanying text to Sutton Palmer's beautiful illustrations. Harold Sutton Palmer was an English watercolour landscape painter and illustrator. He specialised in watercolours of an idyllic rustic style. This work displays just a few gems of the beautiful countryside, lochs and castles of Scotland. In original pictorial cloth binding. Externally, rubbed to the extremities and joints. Bumping to the head and tail of spine. Small splits to the head and tail of joints due to rubbing. Boards are age toned, with several marks. Several spots and marks to the rear board. Hinges are starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright. Light scattered spotting and handling marks to the first and last few pages. Otherwise just the odd spots to pages. Very Good.
