This book definitely hit home --- well,almost. I am not about to be married but I could really relate to the main character's fears and concerns. I myself had a negative opinion of marriage at one point in my life,but growing up the last few years ----- as well as this because of this novel ---- my perspective has changed quite a bit. Like Vanella, I have come to realise that one's marriage cannot be based upon statistics or the realities of others but rather the reality between one and their better half, and that it is up to them to make the best of everything and at the same time, bring out the best in each other!
