Es habe zwei Pfeiler, an denen die noch vorhandenen Verkleidungen gewesen sein mussen. Die Zwischenarbeiten sind eben so zerstort worden wie Vieles, was sich in jenem steinernen Schlosschen befunden habe; denn sonst mussten sie sich entweder in dem Gebaude oder in der Gegend vorfinden, was beides nicht der Fall ist, oder sie mussten sehr im Verborgenen sein, da doch sonst die Nachforschungen, welche nun schon durch zwei Jahre angestellt und bekannt geworden seien, die Leute veranlasst haben durften, die Sachen zum Verkaufe um einen guten Kaufschilling zu bringen. Man musse also seine Gedanken dahin richten, dass nichts zu finden sei, und wenn doch noch etwas gefunden wurde, so musse man es als eine unverhoffte Gunst ansehen. Mein Gastfreund und ich sagten, dass wir ungefahr auf dieses Ergebnis gefasst gewesen seien. Als der Herbst ziemlich vorgesehritten war, begab ich mich auf die Ruckreise in meine Heimat.
