I have bought a number of copies of this book to give to my grandchildren. I also bought one to keep in my collection of worthwhile children's books. The illustrations show many breeds of dogs. The captions are brief and humorous. There are also "to do" pages with moveable parts and tactile insets. The book is printed on heavy cardboard pages and durably bound. Sticky finger marks can be wiped off. This is a great book for young children (and their grandmas who like to read with them.)
