Why would anyone ingest anything that would defile their mouth and moreover their bodies? So here's another question for you, Why would you continue to let someone that defiles your life remain after they can no longer nourish, fulfill, or enhance you? Your relationship shouldn't have to be a constant battle and it certainly shouldn't be one you're hanging on to just for the sake of "sticking things out".
