The book's illustrations reveal not only world-famous, but also little-known and previously unpublished tapestries. Traditionally, Flemish tapestries were made in sets, and the illustrations include a number of complete sets, with many full-page photographs in colour. There are also photographs showing details of tapestries close up. A reference section completes the book.
