I had read reviews of this book and decided to purchase it on the basis of the overwhelming positive comments I'd read online.
This is not a children's story. I first saw it in a book entitled, "How to illustrate children's books". The storyline is based on the viewpoint of a rabbit with the mentality of a 4 year old child.
Simone's simple drawings, make it easy to grasp the characters thoroughly. I found myself carried along by the pictures and reading faster and faster until I forgot the pictures were there. its the story which pulls you through, wanting to find out what happens next.
