The book was recommended reading when I was a sixth former in the late 1950's. I loved it then and I am so very pleased to have it as part of my book collection now. It is a highly enjoyable reference book for learning how to use and apply perspective and how to use and apply tonal values when shading to emphasize form. Loomis is an inspirational tutor.
I was very disappointed at the length of time I had to wait, however, from the point of purchase to the time I actually took possession of the book. Despite the fact that the book came from the US, it took nearly six weeks before it arrived and a couple of e-mails to Albris expressing my concern.
