In that and the concertos like the Rodrigo, the Devienne, and the Stamitz -- in short, those known better among flutists than among the general audience -- are where Galway really can show off his virtuosity on his instrument. Galway simultaneously acts as conductor and soloist in a few cases, such as in the six Vivaldi concertos. Many listeners will recognize the melodies in some of those Vivaldi concertos, as well as in Mozart's Concerto for flute and harp and Bach's Orchestral Suite No. 2.
