Mild bit of edgewear only. A tight and lovely later printing of this 1899 verse collection, with gilt wonderfully bright, remembered mainly for its illustrations. Dyer (1860-1931) was a pioneering photographer and coevil of Alfred Stieglitz, and was part of the influential Photo-Secession movement of the early 20th century. His many evocative images grace this, the only book that utilized his work for illustrations. BAL 16773. RUSSO 80-81 note.
