After an introduction that discusses mesoscale classifications and typical forecast problems, the volume is organized in sections on observing techniques and systems, internally generated circulations, mesoscale convective systems, externally forced circulations, modeling, and short-range forecasting techniques and technology. As a textbook of mesoscale meteorology it will serve both practicing and student meteorologists.
