Many of his works were allegorical due to his influences being the Bible, John Bunyan, Jonathan Swift as well as other seventeenth and eighteenth century authors. He was also inspired by Thomas Hardy and Frederich Nietzsche. In a full cloth binding with paper spine label. Externally, generally smart. Small patches of rubbing to the boards. Spine has faded. Marks to spine label. Front hinge is strained but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are slightly age toned to edges. A few small chips to the tail of pages. Pages are unevenly cut at the bottom edge. The occasional light spots to pages. Very Good.
