While I primarily bought this book to prepare meals for my diabetic husband, I find I'm enjoying the food too. There is a good range of 'cooker to plate' meals, as well as 'slow-cooker' meals, and meals to cover most palates. The soup chapter is excellent. I was expecting a lot of broth-based soups, but there is plenty of hearty soups to choose from such as Ham & Bean Soup, Manhattan-Style Clam Chowder and Tomato-Sweet Potato Bisque. I'm having fun working through the recipes from cover to cover. Most of the recipes are very easy to prepare with readily available ingredients. The print is a good size and is easy to read. The only flaw I have with the actual book itself is that it would have been easier to use in the kitchen if it was spiral-bound. Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in cooking healthy meals, diabetic or not.
