He is dedicated to depicting the richness of American Indian cultures, and the warm spirit of North America's native peoples. Robert's photographs have appeared in numerous books and magazine articles. He has written two books on Native American powwows, Powwow Country and People of the Circle, and is currently at work on a third book. This calendar is in its seventh edition. Pomegranate published this title before Tide-mark. POWWOW features Native Americans in full costume performing the elaborate dances of celebration which are the center of powwows.
