Dideus Falco must deal with his family and redeem his brother's reputation. As always, Davis has a number of plot turnings and interesting locals and business dealings. What I enjoy most is the ongoing life of Falco and his woman. This entire series should probably be read in sequence but each one is a gem in itself. Davis has a gift for developing memorable characters with wit and understanding of human nature.
