This book is in good condition. The cover has minor creases or bends. The binding is tight and pages are intact. Some pages may have writing or highlighting.
Shiryaev's "Probability" is one of the best graduate texts on probability theory. While there are many competitors, I rate this as among the best. (I own many of the competing books, and many of these are also excellent.) I would say Shiryaev's is "the best" but I don't want to sound as if I am exaggerating.
The text is based on measure theory, although the first part does not deal with measure theory.
Why do I like it so much? The second edition is clear, thorough, good selection of problems, written by a leading expert, a good length, reasonably free from typos.
And now, at less than $100, in a well bound hardback, it is much cheaper than when I bought my copy of the first edition.
If you knew everything in this book, you would know a lot about probability.
Check it out from a library and judge it for yourself.
