A good coverage of PLC's made that much more readable by using coloured diagrams throughout . I find texts presented in this manner much more user friendly.

A Must Have Textbook!
This is one of the most informative textbooks I've used. My employer sent me to school at Southeast Technical College in Winona, MN and they had even recommended it for the Logic Controller course that I'd taken. Found it very helpful during the course.
