BRIEF SUMMARY:
Matt Freeman is a fourteen year old boy that has lost his parents and fallen into some tough times. One night he makes a stupid choice and decides to rob a warehouse. He gets caught and is put into the LEAF project for troubled teens and is sent to live with an eldery woman named, Ms. Deverill, in a small town called Lesser Malling. After only a few days of living there he realizes that there are very strange things going on in this small town and that he is the main part of it. What ends up happening is something that he could have never imagined and just the beginning of a long road to finally being safe again.
EVALUATION:
i thought this was a very interesting and good book that kept me reading because there was always something happening, and very few dull moments. I agree with the fact that young teens can get into trouble and be put into extremely challenging situations for the bad choices that they made. However, i dont really disagree with any points that the author brought up. The books brings up the possibility that there may be people that have supernatural abilities such as witches, but he does not really leave out anything he does a very good job of tying everything together in the end. The book did not really affect me because I try and stay out of trouble. Also, my opinions have not changed much, I understand that it was fiction but I still dont believe in magic or that witches exist. This book is related to my course though because I am learning about leaders and being a hero, and Matt displayed all those qualities troughout the course of the book. This was an excellent book and is highly recommended to everyone.

Series for School
Bought to get first book in series my son is reading for English class. These are not as good as Alex Rider, a bit "slow"
