This book is a great book, Jesse Stuart was an amazing author. He had the knack of bringing his books to life, When he hoed a garden you could almost smell the dirt. This is more of a childrens book, but very easy for anyone who loves the simple country life to read. The book is about the segue from the old ways into the new and how some ways were still better than the new.
