By Rote ~ For Testing
Saxon books are always purported to be really good but it depends on how you look at it. This book is great if your students already know all the work in it and need lots of repetious work to be in practice and do it really fast, like if you were taking a timed test.
As far as using it as a teaching book, it falls far short.
There is little explanation of/to the work and some of the explanations/examples are actually confusing and/or contradicting.
Pro: Lots of exercises, good for practice.
Con: Poor/no explanation, Lousy for teaching.
The book is good for what it is but I wouldn't recommend it for teaching to other homeschoolers.
