The author is a highly literate woman writing for an equally literate German audience. She often quotes European luminaries. She took a Christmas job with Amazon in the former East Germany. The book is very well written and interesting of itself. However, it doesn't say much about working at Amazon as a seasonal worker, and it has little in the way of useful analysis. It may appeal to European readers, and it's short enough that an American wouldn't be wasting his or her time by reading it. Just don't expect very much.
