At first listen Static World View isn't all that different from many of the other third wave ska groups. Vocally and lyrically the album is pretty simple ska. What sets Static World View apart from much of the competition is the bands stellar horn playing. The brass section features Tyler Jones on trumpet, Chris Rhodes on the trombone, and guest saxophonists James Riley and Pete Wasilewski. Together they play infectious horn patterns that are based on traditional ska, blues, and swing jazz.
