This is a superb text on stellar structure and evolution. It is clear and concise. It covers an impressive range of the principal aspects of the theory without getting bogged down in unnecessary detail. Unlike other books on the subject, it is always easy to see the `wood', without being distracted by a plethora of `trees'. This book provides an excellent foundation for senior undergraduate and graduate students, and greatly smooths their route to the research literature on this topic. It is also an excellent reference manual on this subject for researchers and teachers.
