The inspiration of the authors for these designs surprised me. The combinations
of block layouts based on Japanese floor mats works very well, and the lesson of color theory was very helpful. But my favorite aspect as one who hoards bits of fabric is all the designs are comprised of small size rectangles. Nothing could be easier than simple shape piecing, though, the the quilts themselves look incredibly intricate. I recommend this book to both seasoned and novice quilters.
