I read this book because it was written by Ms. Dokey. It's based on the opera "Magic Flute". As with all of Ms. Dokey's fairy tales, the female characters are strong and smart. The one thing I did not like about this book is that she changes perspectives in her writing. One page the heroine is writing, the next is the hero. Sometimes it's the supporting characters.
So, sometimes it is confusing to read. It is still a good story. Maybe the trouble reading it is just me. I have enjoyed her writing so far.
