An eloquent and touching autobiography by one of the greatest boxers to ever lace up! Moore recounts his relationships and antics from childhood, troubled teens, and his rise as a boxer, from the early years through becoming world champion. I wondered if this book was "ghostwritten," but Moore's biting sense of humor on the boxing industry convinced me that he was indeed the author of his own story. You will be amazed at his prescience and attention to detail. "The Mongoose" was an advocate of Vitamin D (via sunlight) back in the 1950's, and he outlines a four-week diet for weight loss at the end of the book, including the foods and quantities for every meal! Why has is this tome out of print?
